Ready to start loving your expat life?

international counselling and coaching for expats

This is a safe place.

Warm, comfortable support from someone who really understands.

You’ve started from scratch and have worked so hard to build a successful life overseas, but it’s starting to take a toll. Even though part of you still loves it, this is exhausting. It’s hard to remember the excitement from those early days.

And if you have a family or a romantic partner, you might be finding that small challenges aren’t so easily overcome and the pressure’s starting to build. Remember the fun you imagined having?

You need a comfortable place to relax, unmask, and find some solutions.

Lacey ReddinG, Therapist & Adhd Specialist

I’m Lacey Redding. I help students, professionals and parents just like you:

those who have it in them to be grounded, confident, and equipped for all of life’s challenges, but just need some support to get there.

I help my clients find…

self-acceptance

freedom from anxiety

clarity about what comes next

by equipping them with the tools they need to navigate every area of life in a way that fits them.

How is this different from other coaching or counselling?

  • I’m a Seattle (USA) native. While I’m working on learning some Swedish, Spanish and Italian, English is my mother tongue. If you’re comfortable communicating in English, this is a great place for you to land!

  • Sessions with me are warm and conversational. I’m a relational therapist, which means I believe that therapy is most effective when you feel safe, accepted, and comfortable.

We will focus on your short- and long-term goals, but I’m not structured or rigid. We will meander when needed, take a moment to breathe and laugh, and dive deep when the time is right.

I work with many clients who have found that the prevailing and prominent Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach has not worked for them - it feels cold, clinical, and unemotional. If this is you, therapy with me will feel like a refuge. I welcome your whole self, all of your big feelings, and will craft sessions to fit your personality, needs and goals.

  • Here, you’ll enjoy support and care from someone who’s walked the road you’re on. I’ve faced challenges with ADHD, parenting, chronic fatigue, religious and family trauma, homeschooling, starting my own business, going back to school, re-entering the workforce, moving abroad with my partner and kids…I’ve been there.

You’ll be relieved to find that you don’t have to pretend you’re okay if you’re not, justify your big feelings or minimize your experiences; you can jump straight into what’s really bothering you with someone who truly understands.

I am dedicated to helping people thrive, no matter where in the world they’ve landed.

My training in talk therapy and ADHD coaching and working through expat challenges both personally and professionally means I have the expertise you need and deserve when you’re grappling with expat life and all that comes with it.

But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who really gets it.

I’ve been there: living, working, and raising a family abroad. With ADHD!

I’ve walked this road.

Even in the best of circumstances, life can be SO HARD, painful, and frustrating. Navigating a different language, culture, and building relationships away from your home country can make it feel like you might keep struggling forever.

So when we work together, you won’t just get a trained therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands what you’re going through.
